1. How would you describe your style & approach?
Timeless. My goal is to deliver photographs that you can look back in 5 or 50 years, and you'll still be sparked with a memory, or feeling. I want to create images that show who you are, not just what you wore that day.
On the day of your wedding, or photography session, my approach is documentary. I will let you be you, and I'll be there to capture the love. Don't worry, I will still give you direction and put my expertise to work (this does not mean frantic hand gestures as you walk down the aisle though, ha). What it really means is things like adjusting and tidying the getting ready room for a cleaner photograph; moving a fly away hair from your cheek; and eliciting movement, interaction, and emotions through series of prompts and conversation.
2. Where are you based out of?
Kelowna is home #1, Vancouver is home #2. I also love to travel (who doesn't), take me with you!
3. When & how do we receive our images?
Good things take time! Up to 10 weeks after your wedding, in an online gallery. Up to 3 weeks after your portrait session, in an online gallery. Your personal gallery also gives you accesss to professional print labs, cool!
4. How many wedding images will we receive?
The number of images depends on how long I cover your wedding. Typically you will receive anywhere from 400-600 images.
5. What is the payment schedule?
A deposit of $1,000.00 at the time of booking secures the date. Final payment is due thirty days before your wedding.
6. Do you take family photos at the wedding?
I sure do! I know you don't see a lot of family photos on here, but I'll always make sure to help you work your schedule to find time for these important things.
7. Can we see a real wedding gallery so we know what to expect?
Absolutely! Send me an email and I can share a few galleries.
8. Do you have backup equipment & insurance?
Yes and yes.
9. I am awkward in front of the camera, will it be okay?
I am awkward regardless of wether I am in front, behind, or 100 kilometres away from a camera. It is okay!! Unless you're a professional model, you will feel uncomfortable at first, and that's totally normal. I'll get you moving, talking, hugging, interacting; and in a bit of time you'll get back to feeling yourself. We will make beautiful, awkward, fun, honest, and memorable pictures.
10. Do you have any specific vendors you love working with?
Funny you should ask, I have a list right here. Click to see my favourite people + teams!
